I will be delivering an update on the findings from the 2025 VT Climate Assessment Recreation & Tourism Chapter. The workshop will explain the goals of the Climate Assessment broadly and then dig into the findings in the Recreation & Tourism chapter to talk about the collaborative efforts it will take to continue providing sustainable recreation access into the future.

  1. Highlight any new findings from the previous VCA

  2. Provided high quality science to decision makers

  3. Be able to link a large report to a specific project

Presenters:

Kathryn Wrigley, Graduate Student, University of Vermont

Kathryn's academic background in ecology, conservation, forestry, and wildlife biology combined with her decade plus in recreation management have coalesced in a passion to more fully understand the intersection of people and protected areas. She is particularly interested in learning more about what drives human behavior in public natural spaces.
