Recreation organizations are facing increasing pressure to balance access, sustainability, and visitor experience. This session explores how partnerships with AllTrails are helping agencies expand their reach, improve trail data, and better serve diverse communities.

Brian Riordan, Head of Maps at AllTrails, will share insights from the AllTrails Public Lands Program, highlighting how agencies are leveraging the platform to connect with millions of outdoor enthusiasts while maintaining stewardship goals. The presentation will also showcase AllTrails’ growing work in accessibility—helping users make more informed decisions about trails based on mobility needs and preferences.

In addition, this session will highlight a real-world case study: AllTrails’ support of Richmond Mountain Trails through the Stewards Fund, including efforts to develop and enhance accessible trail experiences. Attendees will gain practical examples of how collaboration, data, and funding can work together to improve outdoor access for all.
